This role will play a key part in supporting Hartpury’s accounts receivable function, working closely alongside an existing Credit Controller with a particular focus on aged debt. Key responsibilities include:
1. Reviewing and validating aged debt to ensure outstanding balances are accurate and appropriate
2. Proactively pursue payment of overdue invoices and resolve queries in a timely and professional manner
3. Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to secure settlement
4. Produce clear and concise reports and updates for senior leadership
5. Recommend appropriate next steps for debts considered unrecoverable, in line with Hartpury’s procedures
About You
We are looking for someone who can bring organisation, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to debt recovery. You will have:
6. A minimum of five GCSEs at grades A–C (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
7. Experience working in credit control or accounts receivable role
8. Strong experience managing aged debt and achieving successful collection outcomes.
9. Ability to investigate and resolve complex queries, including liaison with external debt collection agencies where required.
10. Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
11. Clear and professional communication skills, with confidence usingin financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
Previous experience within a higher education or public sector setting, or an understanding of student finance and tuition fee structures, would be beneficial, though not required.
