SEN Teacher – Special School – Coventry
Are you a passionate SEN Teacher looking to make a genuine impact on the lives of pupils with additional needs? This welcoming specialist school in Coventry is seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join their team, teaching small classes of students with moderate to complex learning needs, including Autism, MLD and communication difficulties.
Teaching no more than 8 learners at a time, you’ll enjoy the chance to build strong relationships, tailor lessons, and see the difference you make every day.
Job Role:
1. Teaching and planning for a small class of students with moderate to complex learning needs
2. Creating an engaging, supportive and structured learning environment
3. Differentiating lessons to meet a wide range of abilities and communication profiles
4. Working closely with a team of Teaching Assistants to provide tailored support
5. Building rapport with pupils and promoting confidence, independence and progress
6. Working collaboratively with colleagues, therapists, and senior leaders
You Will Need:
7. QTS or QTLS
8. Previous experience of working with SEND, ideally Autism, MLD or complex needs
9. Strong classroom management and a nurturing approach
10. A commitment to inclusive practice and personalised learning
