Finance Assistant
Part-time, PermanentSalary: Up to £30,000 pro rataLocation: Maidenhead
Reporting to the Finance Director
key responsibilities of this role include:
- Managing purchase ledger invoices, statements, and payments- Resolving invoice discrepancies and reconciling accounts- Processing expense claims and maintaining accurate ledgers- Performing bank reconciliations and generating cashflow reports- Maintaining sales ledger, including sending statements and chasing payments- Closing monthly ledgers and preparing VAT returns
The ideal candidate will have:
- Solid bookkeeping and accounting experience, ideally to trial balance level- Proficiency in VAT returns and bank reconciliations- Bookkeeping or accounting qualifications (desirable)- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience- Familiarity with ERP systems (an advantage)- Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
