Product Owner - Electrical Power System
Company: Luxury Automotive OEM (recruiting on behalf of Contechs) based in Gaydon. The role focuses on delivering and integrating an electrical power system with emphasis on efficiency.
Overview
The Vehicle Efficiency team is responsible for vehicle efficiency across all programs. The Electrical Efficiency Management (EEM) team is responsible for electrical efficiency for all powertrain variants. The Product Owner Electrical Power System will drive delivery and integration of a power supply system, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, technical feasibility, and programme timelines to deliver an efficient electrical system. The role requires effective planning, coordination, and execution across cross functional teams using systems engineering principles.
Responsibilities
* Electrical Efficiency Vision: Create and develop an Electrical Efficiency Vision, representing the voice of the customer in all feature development, with a strong understanding of energy and efficiency implications.
* Data visualisation: Create visualisation tools of electrical energy management data and present concepts of electrical energy management strategies to stakeholders.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Influence and collaborate with stakeholders across levels and functions, leveraging leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Cross-Functional Communication: Act as the primary liaison for EEM and represent the team across all engineering functions; ensure consistent understanding and implementation of requirements across stakeholders.
* Change Management: Track changes and assess their impact on current and future vehicle programmes; lead updates to requirements and communicate changes effectively.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of power supply systems and electrical architectures.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Knowledge of feature development and integration in automotive systems.
* Understanding of systems engineering principles and V-model development processes.
* Graduate or postgraduate in an engineering discipline.
Experience
* Required: Knowledge of power supply systems and electrical architectures; strong communication and stakeholder management; knowledge of automotive feature development and integration; familiarity with systems engineering principles and V-model processes; engineering degree (graduate/postgraduate).
* Preferred: Experience with CAE modelling toolsets; experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Dassault TRM, IBM DOORS).
