The Senior Leadership Team of Rood End Primary School are looking to appoint a friendly, reliable and efficient Cleaner to work as part of the cleaning team. Cleaners are responsible for a wide range of cleaning duties, which includes ensuring the school is cleaned every day to the required standard/specification. The appointed person must be a good communicator and able to organise their workload along with the ability to use their initiative, be proactive and conscientious in addition to being a team player.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work safely, using the correct warning signs, protective clothing and safety equipment and being mindful of hazards to other staff and students. Compliance with the Health and Safety practices of the School.
The successful candidate will also need to:
* Be physically fit to undertake the duties of the post;
* Have a basic knowledge/experience of using products and equipment used in cleaning;
* Have practical ability in polishing, dusting, cleaning, washing and sweeping;
* To be reliable, punctual and have excellent attendance;
* Possess a flexible and adaptable approach to working patterns and job tasks;
* Observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties;
* Previous experience of working in a cleaning post and working as part of a team would be desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Business Manager via the Site Manager.
