Job Description As a Learning Support Assistant, your role is to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment where pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Working with teachers and the therapy team, you’ll provide tailored support for a specific tutor group during lessons and transitions between classes. Key Responsibilities * Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and encourage their engagement and confidence in learning. * Understand each pupil's ‘Pupil Passport’ and collaborate with teachers to implement strategies aligned with EHCPs. * Support classroom learning by assisting teachers and proactively engaging with pupils to keep them focused and challenged. * Provide feedback to the SENCO and staff about effective teaching strategies and highlight any concerns. * Apply behaviour policies consistently to maintain a positive learning environment.
