We are currently recruiting for Day staff. These contracted posts vary from hours depending on what you are looking for

Candidate Qualities & Requirements

All applicants must be over the age of 20 (in accordance with The Children's Homes England) Regulations 2015).

Experience of working or engaging young people

Level 3 Diploma (QCF/NVQ3) in Childcare and Young People (we will provide this if necessary)

Necessary travel arrangements to and from the residential children's home.

Start a very special career in childcare as a Children's Well-being Practitioner. We have an exciting opportunity for you to work with our young people in a caring and safe residential home environment. You will be working alongside an experienced team, where the children are respected, listened to and involved in as many decision as possible.

Could you be that someone who could connect with a child and change their life?

You wont need specific experience for this role, we will train, teach and guide you with all you will need to be successful. We are looking for people who are wanting to make a difference to a person, and who are patient and resilient when times are challenging.

Part of the role involves some overnight stays in the home. You will need to have good written, verbal and IT communication skills. You will need to know how to have fun, and understand the importance of interaction with children.

Our average hours are 37.5 for full time, however if you are interested in part time hours, we would love to hear from you.

Our working week is over a 7 day period, including rostered weekend's.

We are committed to safeguarding promoting the welfare of children and young people. Successful candidates must be willing to undergo the appropriate child protection screening including employment references and a enhanced DBS check (The cost of which will be funded by us)

Requirements

* Good written and IT skills
* UK Driving licence is desirable
* NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or willing to be put onto this)
* Experience working within a health and social care/childcare environment
* Able to communicate with colleagues, children and external professionals
* Able to actively listen to others
* Able to work individually and part of a team
* Be calm in situations of crisis and follow the lead of a shift leader.
* Be committed to ongoing professional development

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour
