Element has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Power BI Developer. You will need strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of finance processes, and a passion for transforming complex data into clear insights using Power BI.
This role involves working within the Enterprise Integration and Reporting team, alongside the Finance team and other business areas. The goal is to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports primarily using Power BI and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
Core Responsibilities
* Develop, optimize, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to meet finance needs.
* Collaborate with finance stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into data models and visualizations.
* Connect, transform, and model data from D365 Finance and Operations and other systems.
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports.
* Support governance and documentation of BI solutions, including data dictionaries and report inventories.
* Assist in deploying new Power BI features and train users as needed.
* Work with IT and Finance teams on data improvement and performance optimization initiatives.
Skills / Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong understanding of Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling best practices.
* Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, especially finance modules and data structures.
* Solid grasp of financial principles, terminology, and reporting needs.
* Excellent communication skills for working across business and technical teams.
* Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or similar tools (preferred but not essential).
Experience Needed:
* Multiple years of delivering Power BI solutions with hands-on experience with D365 Finance and Operations data.
* Proven ability to deliver impactful, user-friendly reports to non-technical audiences.
