How you'll make a difference
The Strategic Communications Team works collaboratively with teams across the council to provide advice, guidance and hands-on delivery of communications.
As Senior Campaigns Coordinator, you will help develop the campaign plans for key strategic projects such as the infrastructure around major housing developments, major transport schemes and regeneration of our high streets. In addition, you will manage a small sub-team to oversee the delivery of the campaigns.
What you will be doing
* It will be your responsibility to provide communications planning, strategic advice and delivery for key services and major projects.
* Using your experience, you will develop campaign plans with clear objectives, acting as the main point of contact for project officers.
* By sharing best practice, you will ensure campaigns are monitored and adapted as required, and the final evaluation reports produced ensure continuous improvement and learning.
* You will provide accurate specialist advice and information to a range of customers, ensuring communications activities meet legislative requirements, codes of practice and align with council policy.
* Maintaining a high quality and consistent service to customers, you will ensure agreed standards are achieved and ownership is taken for resolving queries and complaints.
What we need from you
* It is essential you have proven experience within a campaign role, delivering a wide range of content for the public.
* You need to have a relevant professional qualification, such as a communications degree or post-graduate diploma, or you will have equivalent relevant experience.
* You will need to demonstrate experience of contributing to developing projects, understanding complex operational issues and being able to advise on and recommend suitable communications solutions.
* We require you to be able to analyse complex data and produce reports, to support the delivery of effective communication campaigns.
* Given the nature of this role, you must have well developed communication skills to persuade, influence and engage successfully with customers.
* We require an agile worker who can manage large projects whilst managing day-to-day queries and requests. Having line management experience is desirable.
What you need to know
* This is a limited term contract ending 30th April 2026.
* This is a part time role, working 30 hours per week. Salary will be pro rated to hours worked.
* This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office in Yate and working from home.
Interviews will be held on 24th June 2025.
