Job Title: Senior Vice President, Head of Security – EMEA
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Senior Vice President, Head of Security – EMEA. This critical leadership role reports directly to both the local Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). You will play a pivotal role in shaping our information security strategy and engineering direction across the EMEA region.
This senior-level position involves overseeing and managing all aspects of security for the region. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, adaptability to the fast-paced financial services environment, and a proven ability to lead diverse teams. Excellent communication skills, team collaboration, and a self-motivated attitude are essential to drive the progress of our security initiatives.

As SVP, Head of Security – EMEA, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team across several security domains, including Security Operations, Global Security Administration, Physical Security, Data Security Analytics, PKI/Certificate Management, and Network Security Engineering.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Technical Leadership & Strategy
* Provide strategic guidance for the engineering and direction of high-performing security teams across multiple domains.
* Drive the development and adoption of security solutions by engaging with vendors, participating in conferences, and building peer networks across the industry.
* Lead, manage, and inspire local teams across critical functions, including Global Security Administration, Security Operations, and Data Security Analytics.
Security Oversight & Execution
* Conduct thorough security assessments of vendor solutions to ensure they align with organizational security requirements.
* Provide expert-level security guidance throughout the software development lifecycle, including technical control evaluation and recommendation.
* Collaborate closely with application developers, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to embed security across all layers of the firm’s technology stack.
* Proactively identify and address emerging threats, such as cloud security risks and data privacy challenges.
* Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including enhanced controls and updated policies.
* Conduct security awareness and training programs across the organization.
* Ensure alignment of technology risk management practices with industry standards and regulatory expectations.
* Lead regional execution of global security initiatives, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Network Segmentation, and Secure Server Access.
* Oversee the development and implementation of the firm’s security governance framework.
* Coordinate response to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution, reporting, and root cause remediation.
* Serve as the regional liaison with regulators, auditors, and external vendors regarding security and compliance matters.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Extensive knowledge of information security principles, frameworks, and best practices.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate security issues effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders.
* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Information Technology or a related field.
* Strong expertise in cybersecurity regulations and frameworks, including FCA, NIST, and GDPR.
* Experience in systems architecture, application security, or infrastructure planning.
* Proven track record in delivering effective security awareness programs.
* Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to influence and negotiate across all levels of an organization, including executive leadership.
* Familiarity with data governance and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies.
* Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms.
* Experience with Agile methodologies.
* Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS).
* Self-driven and disciplined leader with a strong ability to mentor others, resolve complex issues, and lead high-impact security projects.
