Business Administrator
Grade 2 (£24,796‑£25,185) – Permanent Full Time Term Time
Hours: 8:30 am–4:30 pm Mon–Thurs; 8:30 am–4:00 pm Friday. Full time 37 hours per week, start as soon as possible.
About the role
The Governing Body wishes to appoint an enthusiastic Business Administrator to join our busy office team. The successful candidate will be reliable, have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, use a range of media and have experience of clerical work. Key duties and responsibilities
* Being the first point of contact for the school: welcoming visitors and parents/carers, answering telephone calls.
* Working as part of a team to achieve the best for our children, their families and the school community.
* Providing clerical and administrative support to all staff and pupils to ensure the smooth running of the school.
Qualifications and skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good computer skills in Microsoft Word, Office 365, Publisher and Excel.
* Ability to work in a busy office environment, organising, prioritising and managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
* Good organisational skills.
Desirable
* Experience working within a school environment.
* Ability to use Arbor, FMS and Parent Pay systems.
Benefits and pay
Standard term‑time pay is calculated on the basis of 38 weeks of teaching, 1.6 weeks of public holidays and an annual leave entitlement of 27 days for employees with less than 5 years’ service or 32 days for those with more than 5 years’ service. Pay is paid in 12 equal monthly instalments. The role requires an enhanced DBS disclosure. We are a disability‑confident employer and make reasonable adjustments to support disabled applicants.
