An excellent opportunity has come up for an Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join a well:established and growing engineering consultancy in Reading. This role is ideal for a senior engineer ready to step into a leadership position, with a strong mix of technical delivery, team management, and client engagement.
The Role
As an Associate Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high:quality geotechnical projects while supporting the growth and development of the team.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Managing and delivering a range of geotechnical and ground investigation projects
* Leading project teams and mentoring junior engineers
* Producing and reviewing technical reports, including foundation design and geotechnical assessments
* Supporting business development activities, including client liaison and proposal writing
* Assisting with the financial management of projects
* Ensuring compliance with industry standards and health and safety regulations
Requirements
* Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or related field
* Chartered or working towards Chartership (ICE or equivalent)
* Strong experience in geotechnical design, site investigations, and reporting
* Proven experience managing projects and teams
* Good commercial awareness and client:facing experience
* Excellent communication and report:writing skills
