Applicants are invited to apply for the role of Simulation Fellow in Frimley Emergency Department. The role is 75% clinical and 25% non-clinical. We are looking for doctors to start in August 2025.

Study leave: 18 days (10 days general, 5 days private, 3 days for exams/interviews). Study budget: £650 per year.
The emergency medicine rota includes evening, night, weekend, and bank holiday shifts. LTFT enquiries are welcome.
Applicants must have at least 24 months of NHS experience. This advert is open to ST1/2 and ST3+ applicants.
Main duties of the job
1. Attend a Level 1 emergency ultrasound course within the first 3 months if not already qualified, including FAST, AAA, echo in life support, and vascular access.
2. Self-directed time to achieve Level 1 accreditation, supported by your supervisor and ultrasound tutor.
3. Perform POCUS scans on ED patients to inform clinical decisions, once accredited, assisting non-accredited colleagues.
4. Lead at least one point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) quality improvement project.
5. Organise ultrasound teaching for ED staff, including ultrasound-guided access training and coordinating practical teaching sessions.
6. Deliver Level 1 ultrasound training locally once qualified.
7. Collaborate with other ED fellows to expand experience and support projects.
