Our client, a global law firm, is seeking a Conflicts & Risk Management Lawyer for a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze conflict reports, prepare assessments, and assist in identifying and resolving conflicts of interest according to specific requirements.
* Draft and review conflict waivers, engagement letters, and related documents.
* Conduct research on legal issues, corporate affiliations, SEC filings, sanctions, and public records.
* Use internal and external databases to gather and analyze information for conflict review.
* Implement Ethical Walls to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
* Assess conflicts related to lateral attorney hires and advise accordingly.
* Work closely with the Director of Business Intake on client onboarding and conflict management.
* Support Conflict Specialists with conflict searches and analyses.
* Participate in adopting new technologies to improve the Business Intake process.
* Identify and resolve data inconsistencies within internal databases.
* Serve as a contact for queries about new business intake and lateral hiring procedures.
* Assist stakeholders with conflicts procedures and policies.
* Maintain and update standard operating procedures.
* Develop contingency protocols for system outages or disruptions.
* Provide after-hours and weekend support as needed, with compensatory time off.
