About the Role
We are seeking a People Transformation Lead to design, implement, and scale people-focused initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness, culture, and capability across Nscale. This is a strategic yet hands-on role that sits at the intersection of HR operations, organizational development, and change management. You'll partner closely with the People leadership team, senior stakeholders across all departments, and external advisors to transform how we attract, develop, retain, and engage our talent. As we scale from a high-growth startup to a mature organization, you'll help define the people systems, processes, and culture that enable every Nscaler to do their best work. This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence, thrives in ambiguous environments, and has a genuine passion for building world-class people practices.
What you'll be doing
Organizational Design & Strategy
* Partner with leadership to define organizational structures, role clarity, and accountability frameworks that support business growth and strategic objectives.
* Conduct organizational assessments to identify capability gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for optimization.
* Design and implement role architectures, leveling frameworks, and career pathways across technical and non-technical functions.
* Support the scaling of teams and departments, ensuring alignment with company culture and values.
People Operations & Systems
* Own the design and implementation of core people processes: recruitment, onboarding,performance management, learning & development, and offboarding.
* Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of HRIS and people technology platforms to enable self-serve, data-driven HR.
* Establish data governance, reporting, and analytics capabilities to measure people metrics, trends, and business impact.
* Develop scalable policies, procedures, and documentation that maintain consistency and compliance as the organization grows.
Culture & Engagement
* Define and operationalize Nscale's culture and values, ensuring they are embedded in hiring, development, recognition, and decision-making.
* Design and deliver employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and feedback mechanisms to understand and act on employee sentiment.
* Lead internal communications and change management initiatives to keep teams aligned, informed, and energized during periods of transformation.
* Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and ensure inclusive practices across all people functions.
Talent Development & Capability
* Design and implement learning and development programs that build critical capabilities,leadership pipelines, and technical expertise.
* Partner with managers to establish performance management practices that drive accountability, growth, and high performance.
* Identify and develop high-potential talent; support succession planning for critical roles.
* Create mentorship, coaching, and knowledge-sharing programs that accelerate development and retention.
Change Management & Transformation
* Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives (e.g., restructures, process improvements, cultural shifts) with clear communication, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation.
* Develop change management strategies and playbooks; coach leaders and managers through organizational transitions.
* Measure and communicate the impact of people initiatives on business outcomes (retention, engagement, productivity, cost).
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
* Build strong partnerships with department heads, finance, legal, and external advisors to align people strategy with business needs.
* Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on organizational, cultural, and people-related challenges.
* Influence and challenge constructively; drive decisions through data, insight, and clear communication.
About You
* 8+ years of experience in HR, organizational development, or people operations, with a track record of designing and scaling people systems in high-growth or transformational
environments.
* Proven experience implementing HRIS platforms, designing organizational structures, and leading people-focused change initiatives.
* Strong background in at least three of the following: talent acquisition, performance management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, organizational design, or change management.
* Experience in tech, scale-ups, or fast-paced environments is highly valued.

* Change management expertise; experience leading organizational transitions with clear communication and stakeholder buy-in.

* Familiarity with global or multi-jurisdictional HR (US, UK, EU).
* Knowledge of equity compensation, benefits design, or total rewards strategy.
* Experience with organizational network analysis or advanced people analytics.
* Certification in organizational development, change management, or related fields (e.g., CIPD, SHRM).
