Senior Analogue IC Design Engineer

We're working with a highly innovative technology business based in Maldon, Essex, looking to appoint a Senior Analogue IC Design Engineer to join their growing New Product Engineering team. This is a hands-on design role focused on analogue and mixed-signal IC design for sub-6GHz applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated engineer who thrives on technically challenging projects and wants to contribute to the full lifecycle of high-performance integrated circuit design. Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement analogue sub-circuits such as filters, VGAs, high-speed multiplexers, bandgaps, PTATs, TIAs, dividers, PLLs, and bias circuits.
* Work with SiGe BiCMOS and CMOS technologies to develop high-performance IC solutions.
* Perform verification and simulation, ensuring design targets are met.
* Collaborate with the test team across multiple sites to define test plans and contribute to ASIC characterisation.
* Produce high-quality design documentation for all developed blocks.
* Ensure first-time-right silicon through rigorous design and validation practices.
* Support product evaluation and improvement cycles post-silicon.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Master's degree or PhD in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics or related discipline, or equivalent industrial experience.
* 5+ years of hands-on IC design experience.
* Strong understanding of analogue and RF design principles including linearity, noise, mismatch, and stability.
* Expertise in Cadence Virtuoso tools and version control systems.
* Experience designing in SiGe Bipolar and CMOS processes.
* Familiarity with IC layout techniques within Cadence Virtuoso.
* Good understanding of design-for-manufacture principles.
* Experience in ESD protection design.
* Strong communication and documentation skills.
