AMG is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join the engineering projects team to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
 * Plan, prioritise and implement projects from approval to commissioning, to specification, to time and to budget.
 * Produce and review product requirements documents.
 * Produce clear and accurate designs in line with the project specification, budget constraints and associated standards.
 * Investigate, cost and submit project proposals for management approval including proofing of concepts, designs and supporting calculations.
 * Ensure project tracking and costing systems are maintained and accurately record all work activities & plant interventions using the CMMS.
 * Meaningfully contribute to and support continuous improvement methods and activities.
 * Coordinate contractor activity on site, ensuring authorisation to work systems and relevant work permits are enforced including compliance with method statements, risk assessment and value for money.
Qualifications
 * Proven Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years experience in project engineering.
 * Proven experience as a Project Engineer with the ability to demonstrate high volume project delivery.
 * Experience in heavy/medium engineering in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of civil/structural, steelwork and fabrication.
 * Good working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic plant and systems.
 * Excellent appreciation of practical mechanical and electrical engineering; complemented with theoretical approaches.
 * Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and drafting of layouts.
 * Ability to produce designs and calculations for civil/structural, steelwork and fabricated systems.
