ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a Weekend Shop Assistant to serve our customers and ensure they receive a high level of customer care. The role is responsible for greeting customers to our store, ensuring product information is effectively communicated and completing the sale. We are offering a fantastic opportunity for someone to come and make their mark and develop their career within a fast-growing brand. The role is mainly weekends, however we would need flexibility on occasion to cover holidays. As mentioned we do have a shop within Manchester's Northern Quarter, and this role would require occasional cover of this premises as well.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Serve customers, take payment, and provide exceptional support with their purchase.
● Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by effectively dealing with any questions.
● Demonstrate knowledge of the product to help the customer make an informed purchase.
● Assist the Shop Manager as required, including opening and closing the shop.
● Helping with stock management, ensuring the shop is well stocked and presentable.
● Accountable for the handling of cash in the shop and dealing with payments.
● Provide support to the warehouse team during quiet periods, or as required.
● Must be willing and able to occasionally work in our other stores, including Manchester Northern Quarter, and off-site events such as festivals, shows and markets.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
● Must be a well presented, articulate and confident individual.
● Able to work independently, and comfortable working as a team.
● Experience of Shopify POS is beneficial but not essential. Training will be given if necessary.
● A past role based around in-person sales and dealing with customers face to face is essential.
● Knowledge about footwear and shoe care is desirable.
● Ability to keep calm and level-headed during busier times.
● The job will include manual handling duties, and therefore you must be able to conduct manual handling up to the limits specified by the HSE.
REPORT TO:
● Directly reporting to our Shop Manager and Warehouse Manager.
● Working closely with the Warehouse and Customer Service team.

WORKING DAY & HOURS:
● Part time
● 8am - 4.30pm Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
● Cover holidays which means working weekends occasionally

● Remote working not available in this role.
ANNUAL LEAVE:
● Permitted 28 days annual leave per year pro rata
● Due to an exceptionally busy trading period, not permitted to take annual leave in November and December
● There may be a Christmas shut down in December for all staff, for which annual leave must be used, dates tbc.
● Please note bank holidays are regarded as normal working days at LANX - however staff may request these as annual leave.
MUST WORK:
● Annual Sample Sale Weekend - usually March, date tbc
● 2 additional days around Black Friday - usually at the end of Nov.
● For the above additional days annual leave will be granted, or you can be paid 1.5 your normal day rate.
