Business Analyst Team Lead Midlands/Home Counties Permanent Role, £60k Per Annum We have partnered with a large logistics business wo are recruiting a Business Analyst team lead to lead the business analyst team through a critical warehouse management system (WMS) implementation project. This role will be working closely with the business systems team lead and has both hands on and leadership responsibilities. This is a permanent role with a starting salary of £60k per annum.
Responsibilities of the Business Analyst Team Lead:
• Understand internal and external client requirements; propose and deliver technical solutions.
• Gain awareness of business needs, manage customer expectations, build and maintain relationships.
• Evaluate requirements and provide best practice solutions, leveraging standard product offerings and to evaluate deployment of technical solutions against success criteria.
• Ensure solutions implemented align with the business and audit requirements.
• Manage 3rd party suppliers and internal technical resource against agreed scope of works, timescales, and costs.
• Pro-active support to minimize downtime to live applications. I.e. by identifying and resolving underlying issues and liaising with external vendors as required.
• Liaise with technical teams to ensure the systems can be implemented in the live environment with the necessary backup & disaster recovery procedures in place
• Plan and resource allocation of the team based on priorities set by the business.
• Providing status updates from the team, ensuring that they deliver its commitments.
• Proactively identify business process improvement opportunities and lead business process change.
• Lead investigations, stakeholder analysis, requirements analysis, feasibility studies and impact assessments.
• Review proposed benefits and highlight any risks/issues in new/redesigned processes/solutions
• Apply the use of standards, methods and tools for requirements capture, process modelling, fit-gap analysis, risk/impact evaluation.
Skills required for the Business Analyst Team Lead:
• Essential to have Warehouse Management System experience (WMS)
• Experience managing a team is desirable not essential.
• Ability to demonstrate that you played a key role in these implementations.
• Strong understanding of the logistics industry and experience with telematics software.
• Proficient in both software & hardware mobile solutions.
• Proficient in Software Development Lifecycle methodologies
• Familiar with at least one help desk and customer support tool.
• Proficient in Software Testing and Quality Assurance methodologies.
• Proficient in ITIL processes and practices.
• Proficient in Business Process Analysis (as-is and to-be).
• Experience in a senior project support role or leading a project team.
• Experience of developing business systems, ideally in logistics businesses
