The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their existing skills as a Junior Accountant and be a key part of an evolving team. You will be responsible for preparing accurate financial reports, conducting thorough financial analysis, and assisting with forecasting models to assist with our strategic planning. Key responsibilities include assisting with managing cash flow, tracking budgets and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will support the Accountant and Director of Finance across all aspects of financial information including monthly reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc requests. This role demands strong analytical, communication and organisational skills and is ideal for a candidate who is eager to expand and advance their knowledge, with opportunities for growth and development. The finance team current consists of Finance Director, Head Cashier, Head Credit Controller, Senior Cashiers, Legal Cashiers and Credit Controllers. The department is supported by our Legal Support team who process the mail and any cheques which come in to the firm. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports, and assisting with quarterly and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Work with heads of department to review performance against targets Financial Forecasting: Assist with maintaining forecasting models to support the firms strategy. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow projections and manage cash flow effectively to meet operational needs. Implement strategies to optimise working capital and minimise financial risks. Budget Management: Work closely with department heads to assist in preparation of annual budgets and track performance against budgeted targets. Identify variances and recommend corrective actions as needed. Bookkeeping services: Assist with processing of purchase invoices, bank reconciliations, cashflow monitoring and preparation of monthly financial reports. Assistance will also be required for annual accounts. Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws, Law society regulations, and internal policies. Coordinate with external auditors for audits and other compliance requirements. Key Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong Excel skills Essential Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred Part qualified (or qualified by experience) Relevant professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, CA) is preferred. 2 to 3 years’ experience Experience with accounting software (E.g.
