Hamilton Woods Associates are currently working on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation, who are recruiting for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to work with individuals and families affected by domestic violence.
This role is a community based project that will require travel across Kirklees.
Responsibilities of the Independent Domestic Violence Advocate:
* Building strong relationships with individuals and families affected by domestic violence
* Advocating for survivors
* Reviewing support plans
* Signposting clients to other services
* Managing high risk cases
* Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection
* Providing support around housing, criminal justice, health and finances
* Working in partnership and collaborating with partners and stakeholders
* Actively engaging clients and promote involvement in the service
Essential Criteria of the Independent Domestic Violence Advocate:
* UK Driving License and access to own vehicle
* Enhanced DBS
* Experience working with those fleeing domestic abuse
