Key Account Manager – Branded FMCG Snacking Business
Location: Remote (with regular travel)
Are you a commercially savvy, target-driven account manager with a passion for FMCG and the hunger to drive real growth? We're working with a high-performing branded snacking business that's shaking up its category – and they’re looking for a Key Account Manager with the energy and ambition to match.
This role is perfect for someone with a hunter mentality – you’ll be driving both new business and growth within existing national and regional accounts, with a particular focus on some of the following - retailers, symbol groups, forecourts, and convenience. It’s about more than just managing a P&L – it’s about building genuine partnerships, developing strategic plans, and delivering results.
What you’ll be doing:
* Managing a portfolio of key retail and convenience accounts across the UK
* Creating and delivering Joint Business Plans (JBPs) to align on targets and strategy
* Driving sales and revenue through NPD pipelines, range expansions, and promotional activity
* Negotiating annual commercial terms and securing long-term contracts
* Working cross-functionally with internal teams – Marketing, Ops, Field Sales – to ensure flawless execution
* Regular face-to-face customer meetings to build relationships and drive account performance
* Supporting site-level teams with training and development materials that deliver results
* Collaborating with the field sales team and sharing actionable insights
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in managing regional or national accounts in FMCG – especially across retail, forecourt, convenience or symbol groups
* A commercial mindset and a true self-starter who thrives on accountability and smashing targets
* Comfortable working remotely and managing your own schedule
* Experience creating JBPs, negotiating terms, and delivering against KPIs
* A team player who works well cross-functionally, but with the confidence to lead from the front
* Strong communication and reporting skills – you’ll keep everyone in the loop and focused on the goal
