We are seeking a dedicated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at a prestigious boarding school. This role is ideal for a junior chef who can effectively support the Head Chef, follow directions accurately, and seamlessly integrate into our team to fill an immediate gap. The position is for a n initial 2 months and then potentially moving onto a permanent position.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist the Head Chef and other kitchen staff in daily culinary operations.
* Prepare ingredients and perform basic cooking duties under the supervision of the Head Chef.
* Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen following all health and safety guidelines.
* Work efficiently to meet the demands of a busy kitchen environment.
* Adapt to varying weekly schedules, including term time and educational group bookings.
* Initially, the role is for one month, with the potential to become permanent based on performance and operational requirements.

1. Minimum Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certificate.
