The Role The Audio Visual Technician will work closely with academic departments, IT services, facilities staff and senior leadership to provide day-to-day technical support for lessons, assemblies, performances and school events. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate and maintain audio visual equipment including sound, lighting and projection systems. Provide technical support for assemblies, concerts, productions, lectures and external lettings. Troubleshoot faults and respond promptly to staff requests. Maintain equipment, carry out routine checks and coordinate repairs or upgrades. Support staff and pupils in the effective use of AV and presentation technologies. Assist with stage, hall and venue preparation as required. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience in an AV, sound, lighting or technical support role. Good working knowledge of common AV and multimedia systems. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workload. A proactive, flexible approach with excellent customer service skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team. Willingness to support occasional evening or weekend events.
