The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a growing employment practice working at the heart of the football industry and wider sports and media sectors. The team advises a client base that includes the majority of Premier League clubs, many English Football League clubs, and key stakeholders in football both in the UK and internationally.
The position offers high‑quality, varied employment work across contentious and non‑contentious matters, alongside direct involvement in some of the most high‑profile issues in sport.
Key responsibilities include:
* Advising on a broad range of employment law matters within sports and media
* Supporting football transfers, transactional documentation and related regulatory work
* Drafting and negotiating service agreements for senior executives and employees in sport, including managers, coaches, players and sporting directors
* Working closely with corporate, commercial, regulatory/litigation and immigration teams on cross‑disciplinary matters
* Representing federations, leagues, clubs, players, athletes and agents in employment disputes before forums such as the Employment Tribunal, appellate courts, Managers’ Arbitration Tribunal, Player‑Related Dispute Commission and FA Rule K arbitration
* Taking on client‑facing work and contributing to the growth and development of the employment practice

Requirements
* 1–4 years’ PQE (outstanding candidates outside this range will be considered)
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
* Experience in both contentious and non‑contentious employment law
* Experience in sports or media law desirable but not essential
* Office‑based with some hybrid working
