Company Overview: our cleint is a house builder in Sevenoaks who are looking to grow there team and appoint a health and safty manager, focusing on quality and safety. Our goal is to create homes people love while keeping everyone safe.
Position Overview: As a Health and Safety Manager, your main job is to make sure our construction sites are safe for everyone. You'll work closely with our Health and Safety Director to set up and improve safety procedures and make sure we follow all the rules.
Key Responsibilities for a Health and Safety Manager:
1. Create and enforce safety rules and procedures.
2. Check our sites regularly for any dangers and fix them.
3. Teach our team about safety and help them follow the rules.
4. Investigate any accidents and suggest ways to prevent them in the future.
5. Work with others to make sure we meet safety standards set by the law.
6. Keep records of safety activities and report to our managers.
7. Keep learning about safety and suggest new ways we can be safer.
Qualifications and Skills for a Health and Safety Manager:
* Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar.
* Certification in safety (like NEBOSH or IOSH) is a plus.
* Experience in construction safety, especially house building.
* Knowledge of safety laws and rules for construction.
* Good communication skills and ability to work with others.
* Organized and able to manage time well.
* Knows how to use basic computer programs.
* Can travel to different sites as needed.
