Rate £18.00 per hour
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Gi Group and work with one of our National Clients and one of Europe's largest vehicle remarketing businesses where the opportunities are endless.
Vehicle Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Carry out general servicing on a variety of vehicles.
2. Undertake general tyre changing duties for a variety of vehicles.
3. Undertake road and ramp testing and inspection as and when required.
4. Carry out all repairs in line with approved methods to restore the vehicle to its original condition.
5. Plan and organise time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines, achieving efficiency.
6. Assist with general workshop tasks as and when required.
7. Diagnose problems on vehicles in the workshop and if needed undertake electrical diagnosis on vehicles.
8. Deal with warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards.
9. Ensure all the relevant documentation is accurately completed and all company procedures are followed.
Vehicle Mechanic Requirements and Skills:
1. Minimum 1 year of previous experience in a similar role as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic.
2. Qualified to City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (essential).
3. Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
4. No more than 6 points on your licence for insurance purposes (no DR/DD/BA offences please).
5. Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.
6. Passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers.
7. Ability to work independently on vehicles and make decisions when required.
8. Excellent attention to detail.
9. Develop and maintain professional and positive working relationships with colleagues.
Vehicle Mechanic Key Information and Benefits:
1. 26-week temp to perm placement.
2. £18.00 per hour.
