About the role
The primary responsibility of this role is to represent and defend clients' legal interests, providing specialist advice in areas such as Industrial Disease, MOD, and Personal Injury claims. Responsibilities include managing caseloads, handling complex cases, liaising with clients, insurers, solicitors, Counsel, and experts, analyzing evidence, and advising clients accordingly.
Key duties
* Manage a caseload of both pre and post litigated claims.
* Handle complex and high-value cases.
* Communicate with clients, insurers, solicitors, Counsel, and experts.
* Analyze evidence and develop case strategies.
* Provide high-quality legal services to clients.
* Interview witnesses and prepare witness statements.
* Attend meetings, hearings, and appointments as required.
* Develop and maintain good client relationships.
* Research legal documents and case history.
* Represent clients in court when necessary.
* Maintain professional standards and comply with SRA regulations.
* Keep up-to-date with legal changes and record billable hours.
Requirements
* Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in Law (2:1 or above preferred).
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in Personal Injury, Industrial Disease, or MOD claims.
* Relevant current Practicing Certificate if applicable.
* Experience within a professional services firm.
* Strategic and commercially aware.
