Department: Investment Solutions / Liability-Driven Investment (LDI) Miryco are working with a fixed-income investment manager seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient professional to join their Investment Solutions team, focusing on Liability-Driven Investment (LDI). The successful candidate will work closely with the portfolio managers and traders to design, structure, and implement innovative interest rate and inflation hedging strategies. This role plays a key part in delivering bespoke risk management solutions using a range of derivative and physical instruments. Key Responsibilities: Design, structure, and implement tailored risk management solutions for clients using a wide array of derivatives including interest rate and inflation derivatives, alongside physical instruments. Collaborate with clients and consultants to understand their risk profiles and long-term objectives, delivering solutions that meet their needs. Provide technical input and support during the implementation of client mandates, including answering queries and ensuring accurate execution. Work cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations) to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of LDI solutions. Stay up to date on market developments, regulatory changes, and product innovation relevant to LDI and pension risk management. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within investment management, pensions, or banking, ideally with a focus on LDI or derivatives. Strong technical knowledge of interest rate and inflation derivatives and their application in portfolio risk management. Experience working with UK defined benefit pension schemes and an understanding of their regulatory and investment frameworks. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into practical solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust with clients and working effectively across teams. Preferred Qualifications: CFA, FIA, or equivalent professional qualification (or working towards one). Advanced Excel and/or experience with risk modelling tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
