Carpentry Lecturer and AssessorJob Type: Full-timeLocation: CarshaltonSalary: From £40 per hour We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Carpentry Lecturer and Assessor to deliver high-quality teaching, training, and assessment to Apprenticeship learners. The successful candidate will support apprentices in gaining the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to achieve their Carpentry Apprenticeship Standards, while maintaining industry-relevant expertise and ensuring a positive learner experience.Day-to-day of the role:Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching sessions across Level 1 and Level 2 Carpentry and Apprenticeship programmes.Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons, workshops, and practical demonstrations in line with curriculum requirements.Support learners in developing both practical carpentry skills and theoretical knowledge.Prepare apprentices for End-Point Assessment (EPA).Provide constructive feedback to support learner progress and achievement.Maintain accurate records, progress tracking, and compliance with awarding body and OFSTED requirements.Required Skills & Qualifications:Level 3 qualification in Carpentry or equivalent (e.g., NVQ Level 3).Industry experience in Carpentry or Construction.Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 5 DET) or willingness to work towards one.Assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA, A1, CAVA) or willingness to work towards.Strong knowledge of apprenticeship standards and competency-based assessment.Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.If you are interested, click "Apply" and send us your application!
