Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support children between the ages of 8 and 17 in a care home setting. This position requires strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our young people. Please note we do not sponsorship.
Responsibilities
* Assist children with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
* Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
* Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their needs.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care.
* Drive residents to appointments or community activities as required.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to senior care and IT systems used for documentation.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a children's residential home
* Minimum of a level three in children residential or equivalent
* Strong supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents and staff.
* Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual needs.
* A valid driving licence is essential for transporting residents as needed.
* Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is advantageous.
