Work You’ll Do
We are seeking a Security Data Analyst to join our team. This role combines data analysis, security research, and development skills. You will be responsible for designing and developing a platform capable of analyzing large datasets for security and compliance requirements. Leverage your cybersecurity expertise to proactively identify and address emerging threats, ensuring secure coding practices are integrated throughout the development process.
What You’ll Bring
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* 5+ years of experience in software/platform development/engineering from front end (web), mobile, back end, ad tech, or analytics dataflows backgrounds.
* Experience with data management, building automated and scalable platforms for data-intensive applications.
* Ability to handle large data sets and design scalable, maintainable systems.
* Strong background in API development, REST or gRPC patterns.
* Programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or similar.
* Knowledge of data science concepts like data preparation, exploration, modeling, applicable to structured or unstructured data.
* Proficiency with tools such as Jupyter notebooks, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, numpy.
* Experience with security tools like Postman, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP.
* Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL.
* Hands-on experience with security and compliance frameworks and standards.
* Understanding of performance optimization for mobile applications.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with OCI cloud services.
* Experience with machine learning or AI in security.
* Familiarity with Agile, JIRA, Confluence.
* Knowledge of Software Assurance programs.
Responsibilities
* Architect and develop a secure, high-performance platform for API data analysis.
* Collaborate with teams to analyze, define, and implement data rules and flows.
* Perform threat analysis and manage security vulnerabilities.
* Ensure security compliance, privacy, and data protection standards are met.
* Automate security controls and monitor platform security.
* Maintain data integrity with MySQL queries.
* Create dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
* Develop tools for security assessment.
* Stay updated with new trends and technologies.
* Document architecture, services, and decisions.
* Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance.
