Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to oversee our fabrication operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various fabrication techniques. As a Fabrication Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality fabricated components while leading a team of skilled fabricators.
Responsibilities
* Manage daily operations of the fabrication department, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
* Supervise and mentor a team of fabricators, providing guidance on best practices in welding and fabrication.
* Oversee and carry out the use of hand tools, power tools, and machinery in the fabrication process.
* Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and tools to optimise performance and safety.
* Collaborate with engineering and design teams to interpret blueprints and specifications for projects.
* Conduct quality control inspections on fabricated components to ensure they meet required specifications.
* Implement efficient workflow processes to maximise productivity within the fabrication shop.
* Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance logs.
Requirements
* Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
* Experience in assembly processes related to fabricated components is advantageous.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £25,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
