The Role
We are seeking an experienced Managed Building Facilities Account Manager to act as the primary link between the business and a portfolio of valued clients. This role combines operational oversight of hard services with strategic client and commercial management, ensuring service delivery exceeds expectations while maintaining strong financial performance.
Reporting to the Account Director, you will take full responsibility for account performance, service quality, compliance, and client satisfaction across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, leading regular performance and strategy review meetings
Oversee the delivery of hard services including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building fabric across PPM, reactive, and quoted works
Manage account budgets with full responsibility for cost control and P&L accuracy
Monitor and manage KPIs and SLAs to ensure contractual compliance
Ensure all sites meet statutory, policy, and health & safety requirements, managing audits and risk assessments
Lead, coach, and develop onsite engineers and manage third‑party subcontractors
Oversee minor works and refurbishments, identifying opportunities for service improvement and innovation
Balance office‑based duties with regular client site visits
Participate in an on‑call rota for out‑of‑hours building emergencies as required
About You
3-5+ years' experience in Facilities Management, ideally within hard services or technical environments
Strong technical understanding of building services
Proven experience managing client relationships and FM contracts
Financially astute with experience managing budgets and performance metrics
Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH (desirable)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint) and CAFM systems
Organised, proactive, and comfortable working flexibly across multiple sites
Strong communicator with a customer‑focused approach
