The role will be responsible for continued development and implementation of project control and governance mechanisms across Professional Services. Utilizing OpenAir, there will be continued focus on consistency in forecasting and revenue recognition. The role will continue the development of controls and reporting, ensuring that the mechanisms operate in line with agreed project standards and methods, are commensurate in project size and/or strategic significance and include escalation paths that provide transparency. The role will continue the design and development support for a series of operational dashboards in PowerBI for the Services organization. The role will also continue the initiative to automate Services processes utilizing O365 functionality. The role will manage a team of project control analysts and a team focused on ongoing operational support.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both software implementation services as well as consulting services.
Key Accountabilities:
* Manage services wide month end & forecasting processes via analyst team, proactively working to identify, escalate and resolve issues to ensure greater forecast accuracy and stability.
* Gain understanding of Implementation and Consulting Services operational functions
* Continue evolution of a tiered approach to project governance & control utilising proven methodology, providing quality data and guidance to project management community.
* Provide detailed and accurate data to support project stage reviews, project escalations and stakeholder reviews.
* Work together with HR OD Specialist and Program Management Directors to introduce effective guidance and documentation to support organizational knowledge development and retention.
* Establish pre-sales planning and estimation support to ensure all offers are commercially sound and practically deliverable.
* Ensuring ongoing operational support for OpenAir, including services reporting calendar, the development of a centralised repository for standard data and documentation, OpenAir audit processes and operations analysis.
* Provide career development and day to day management to all team members
Educational Qualifications:
* A minimum of 7 years Project Office experience
* Strong negotiation skills and an ability to influence decisions
* Understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management from a support perspective
* Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
* Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
* Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups
* Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
* Highly experienced user of MS Excel and Power BI. MS Office toolset (Project, Word, and PowerPoint)
