Overview
We are looking for a part‑time (30 hours) Team Manager within the Social Work Academy, Adult Social Care. The position is permanent and based at County Hall, Morpeth, with a county‑wide service across Northumberland.
Role
The Social Work Academy supports Newly Qualified Social Workers during their ASYE and Social Work Degree Apprentices during their three‑year programme. The Team Manager will provide leadership, supervision and support to staff to deliver an exemplar of national best practice. We received an external quality assurance visit from Skills for Care and they reported their work was “an exemplar of national best practice in relation to the work and experiences of the academy.”
Responsibilities
* Manage the supervision of staff and support them to attain the ASYE certificate.
* Engage with staff and learners, promoting a learning culture within Northumberland.
* Deliver and embed excellent social work practice across the service.
Qualifications
* A professional social work qualification (e.g. Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, CSS).
* Valid Social Work England Registration.
* Evidence of continuous CPD profile.
* Knowledge and understanding of the ASYE programme framework and the Social Work Degree Apprenticeship.
