The Role We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and dedicated SEND Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will work across our SEND enhanced provision classrooms, teaching and supporting pupils from Reception to Year 6 with a variety of needs. This is a unique opportunity to work across the primary phase, delivering high-quality, personalised learning experiences and making a real difference to the lives of children with additional needs. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to individual pupil needs - Teach pupils across the primary age range (Reception to Year 6) - Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of needs including SEMH, communication, and cognition and learning - Work collaboratively with class teachers, teaching assistants, and the SENDCo - Work alongside the SENDCo and a range of external agencies to support pupil outcomes - Contribute to statutory processes, including EHCP reviews and annual reviews - Monitor and track pupil progress, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place - Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Experience teaching children with SEND across the primary phase - Strong understanding of SEMH, communication needs, and cognition and learning difficulties - Ability to differentiate effectively and deliver personalised learning - Strong behaviour management skills, with experience of trauma-informed approaches - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - A commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all learners We Offer: - A supportive and collaborative staff team - Opportunities for professional development - A leadership team committed to staff wellbeing and inclusion - The chance to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment.
