Art Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Prendergast School Location: Prendergast School, Lewisham Contract: Part-time (3–4 days per week) – Maternity Cover Duration: Easter 2026 – February 2027 Pay to scale. (aligned with teacher union guidance)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art Teacher to join Prendergast School on a part-time basis (3–4 days per week) to cover maternity leave from Easter 2026 until February 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established secondary school with a strong commitment to creativity and high standards of teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will be passionate about Art education, able to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and committed to delivering engaging and high-quality lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environmen
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching Art at secondary level
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
