✏️ Autism Support Assistant - Full Time
Location: Gorton
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay Rate: £105 per day
Contract: November 2025, Ongoing - Long Term position
Responsibilities
* You'll be working with pupils who have a range of additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
* This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a nurturing, inclusive environment, supported by a friendly and experienced team of educators.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN (including autism, ADHD, and communication needs).
* Assist with classroom activities, tailored learning, and intervention sessions.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and the SENCo to implement support plans.
* Encourage and promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and independence.
* Follow safeguarding, behaviour management, and school policies at all times.
Requirements
* Previous experience working as a SEN TA or supporting children with special educational needs ideally Autism.
* A calm, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and development.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA, SEN, or equivalent) - desirable but not essential. Valid DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check - or willing to apply.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Be able to provide professional references which cover the last 2 years.
* Ability to follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
