Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the primary objectives of this role will be to implement the HR Strategy for staff training and development and to establish, monitor and maintain accurate records for the means of staff training and development Shop Floor Trainer Cross Hands Permanent, Full time £15.00 per hour To raise the capability of managers and employees on site, supporting the achievement of business objectives. Training, coaching, and mentoring predominantly on the shop floor with production operatives and warehouse operatives, ensuring that training records are well maintained, and compliance training is kept up to date. Reporting directly to the Training Manager, the purpose and objectives of this position include but are not limited to; Assist Departmental Managers in consistent delivery of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and policies across all areas of the business. Amend and revise SOP’s and company policies with Department Managers and other members of the training team. Ensure that all training records including competency sign offs are kept up to date. Responsible for ensuring staff are appropriately trained to undertake their duties. Welcome new hires to the business and assist with Company Inductions. Responsible for the full learning and development cycle from design and delivery through to evaluation. Working with department managers to create and review SOP’s. Working with Department Managers to identify learning and development needs across the site and recommending commercial solutions including sourcing and booking of training courses. Supporting managers in the development and maintenance of learning and development record systems such as the training matrix and the SOP’s library. Maintaining relationships with external providers and local education providers, including local schools. Ensuring knowledge regarding learning and development trends/advancements remains up-to-date. Maintaining comprehensive training and development records for all employees, including updating of the training matrix and updating of the SOP’s Previous Food Manufacturing experience (beneficial). Proven ability to develop and motivate people. Experience delivering training courses to both small and large groups. Patient, approachable and a clear articulate communicator.
