Curriculum Administrator (.8 FTE)

Role overview: The Curriculum Administrator supports the Design, approval and maintenance of curriculum structures within WorkTribe, liaises with academic staff and external examiners, administers external examining processes, and provides quality assurance support for validation panels and academic integrity cases. This part‑time, permanent position requires strong IT skills, quality assurance experience and a high level of detail.
Responsibilities
* Monitor programme and module approvals, withdrawals and suspensions in WorkTribe workflows, escalating issues as required.
* Administer the external examining process and support external examiner coordination.
* Provide administrative support to quality assurance activities, including academic integrity panels and validation events.
* Maintain accurate curriculum data and support data integrity for university policy and regulatory needs.
* Communicate changes in curriculum management practices to stakeholders.
* Coordinate and manage arrangements for meetings and events relevant to the role.
* Assist in producing clear written communication materials for staff and students.
* Support data collection, monitoring and reporting of student and curriculum data.
* Address routine problems or queries promptly and refer complex issues to senior staff.
* Support the implementation of new systems, processes and initiatives to improve student and staff experiences.
Qualifications
Essential
* 2 AS Levels or 1 A Level or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area.
* Knowledge of the UK Higher Education sector.
* Experience supporting Quality Assurance processes.
* Experience collecting, organising and storing data and preparing reports.
* Experience dealing with queries and providing information to individual enquirers.
* Welsh language: Ability to speak Welsh fluently and write emails in Welsh; applicants developing Welsh language skills within two years are welcome.
Desirable
* NVQ Level 4 in a relevant subject area.
* ECDL Qualification.
* Relevant experience at a Higher Education Level.
* Experience working with complex databases.
* Understanding of Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
* Experience delivering projects requiring inter‑organisational collaboration.
* Experience servicing committees.
Skills and Abilities
* Effective communication and relationship building at all levels of the university.
* Good organisational skills and ability to handle a varied and demanding workload.
* Attention to detail.
* Understanding of terms commonly used in own area of work.
* Recognition when limits of own responsibility are reached.
