Job Summary
The Residential Team Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of a residential care setting, ensuring that the needs of children are met in a safe and nurturing environment. This position involves leading a team of care staff, implementing care plans, and fostering effective communication with both children and their families. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess strong leadership skills to guide and support their team.
Duties
* Lead and supervise a team of care staff, providing guidance and support in their daily responsibilities.
* Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each child.
* Foster a positive and engaging environment for children, promoting their emotional and social development.
* Maintain open lines of communication with children, families, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
* Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards within the residential setting.
* Manage daily administrative tasks related to the operation of the facility, including record-keeping and reporting.
* Drive to various locations as required for meetings or activities related to the children's care.
Skills
* Proven experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
* Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence for transporting children as needed.
* Knowledge of developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
* Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation related to care activities.
