Job Summary
Are you a skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist looking for a leadership role? This position offers an exciting opportunity as an 8b Principal Psychologist to provide high-quality psychological care, develop innovative clinical pathways, and support staff and service users within a 14-25 community Youth Mental Health Team covering the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area.
The role involves working with a diverse multi-professional team, providing clinical oversight of psychological therapies, and offering direct supervision to an 8a Clinical Psychologist. The team is dedicated to a needs-led approach to improve the lives of children and young people, fostering compassion, kindness, and hope. Flexible and hybrid working patterns are supported.
Main Duties
1. Clinical Leadership: Provide strategic leadership across the youth mental health team, ensuring high standards of psychological care.
2. Service Development: Expand access to assessments and evidence-based interventions, improving collaboration and treatment effectiveness.
3. Supervision & Line Management: Supervise psychological professionals and trainees, fostering a culture of learning.
4. Training & Development: Support and deliver training to embed psychologically informed practices.
5. Staff Wellbeing & Resilience: Lead initiatives to promote staff wellbeing and resilience.
6. Clinical Practice: Maintain a caseload delivering assessments and interventions for complex clients.
7. Service User Engagement: Lead co-produced service development with active service user involvement.
8. Innovation & Research: Collaborate with universities for teaching, supervision, and research projects.
