Behaviour Support Assistant – SEMH Focus Location: Durham Pay: £90–£110 per day Contract: Full-Time This Behaviour Support Assistant role supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs who benefit from clear boundaries and positive role models. You’ll help pupils manage behaviour, reflect on choices and rebuild positive relationships with learning. The role involves: • Supporting pupils during lessons and unstructured times • De-escalating challenging situations calmly • Encouraging emotional awareness and regulation • Supporting positive behaviour strategies • Working closely with pastoral teams Experience in SEMH, care or youth work is beneficial but not essential.
