An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and enthusiastic occupational therapist to join the Occupational Therapy Service at the Borders General Hospital. The post involves providing specialist occupational therapy in an acute adult, physical and rehabilitative setting with clinical leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and supervision to band 5 occupational therapists and therapy support workers and deputise for the team lead as required.
* Assess and treat patients with complex and challenging needs in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, with the aim of maximising independence and facilitating prompt discharge.
* Support opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD) with regular supervision and appraisal, in-service training and access to relevant external training.
Qualifications
* Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
* HCPC registration.
* Driver’s licence (car driver).
