Overview

Carlton Keighley is a small community secondary school, part of Carlton Academy Trust (CAT). CAT oversees three secondary schools, three primary schools and three special schools, educating nearly 5,000 students and employing almost 1,000 staff. All CAT schools are rated either Outstanding or Good by Ofsted. Since joining CAT in 2018, the school has progressed towards the Trust motto of “Excellence for All” and aims to become an outstanding school in coming years. Teaching and learning are the focus, with regular, high‑quality professional development for staff. Carlton Keighley is a place with helpful, friendly, and supportive staff and high standards of student behaviour and conduct; staff welfare is considered a priority with aims to preserve a proper work‑life balance through small class sizes and efficient administration.

We are seeking a caring, committed, and proactive Pastoral and Learning Assistant to join our team. This role supports students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with SEMH, EHCPs, and EAL. If you are passionate about inclusion, student wellbeing, and making a real difference in young people’s lives, we would love to hear from you.

Employee welfare is important to us, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package through the Carlton Cares programme, designed to support physical, mental and financial wellbeing. Benefits include a fully funded Health Plan, an Employee Assistance Programme, salary sacrifice options, and employee discount schemes.
