We are looking for an experienced English Teacher to work in a dedicated secondary and SEN setting in Essex. This role isn't about rushing through a syllabus; it's about functional communication, sensory storytelling, and building the confidence to be heard.
As an English teacher, you will have the opportunity to ignite a passion for literature and language in your students, fostering critical thinking and creativity through engaging discussions and diverse texts. Responsibilities as an English Teacher:
* Tailor lessons to meet the needs and learning styles of different students.
* Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
* Evaluate student progress through tests, assignments, and projects
* Maintain a positive and conducive classroom environment
* Manage student behavior and ensure that classroom rules are followed.
* Encourage students to explore a variety of genres and styles to develop their literacy and critical thinking skills.
Requirements of this role:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Enhanced child DBS on the update service
* Proven professional references
* Relevant teaching experience
* Strong knowledge of the curriculum
