The role involves managing QEF's maintenance staff, handling both maintenance (via defect reporting) and small works across all contracted properties, ensuring compliance with safety standards and legislation.
Responsible for maintaining the electrical or mechanical infrastructure and connected equipment to ensure regulatory compliance.
The individual must be aware of their Health and Safety responsibilities, ensuring safe execution of all maintenance and modifications to prevent hazards to staff and site users.
A high level of technical competence is required to oversee skilled workers and provide first-line technical support. The Junior Electrical Engineer must be willing to undertake necessary training for professional development.
Accountable to the Electrical Engineer for the cost-effective operation of plant, services, and equipment, including planning and monitoring maintenance programs.
Deputise for other Electrical Engineers as needed.
Manage daily engineering maintenance activities.
Assist in preparing specifications and drawings for revenue and capital projects.
Plan, organize, and implement maintenance programs.
Collaborate with the Estates Management team on maintenance and plant replacement schedules.
Work independently, communicate effectively and courteously with staff and site users.
