Active Mortgages are looking for a hands-on Digital Marketing Manager to own and improve our website, organic visibility, and content performance.
This is not a social media role.
This is not a "strategy-only" role.
You'll own SEO, website content, and organic growth, working directly with the founder and alongside an in-house media team.
If you like fixing messy websites, structuring content properly, and making Google (and AI search tools) actually understand what a business does, you'll enjoy this.
The role
* Own and improve the Active Mortgages website as a growth asset
* Lead SEO fundamentals: technical fixes, on-page optimisation, internal linking, search intent
* Build and manage evergreen content that answers real customer questions
* Turn founder-led video and insights into search-friendly articles, guides, and FAQs
* Improve conversion paths (calls, forms, CTAs, tracking)
* Work with our web developer to ship changes properly
* Use Search Console and GA4 to track what's working and what's not
* Ensure brand and messaging consistency across key pages
This role is about doing, not just suggesting.
What we're looking for
You must be strong in the core areas:
* Solid experience with SEO and website content
* Comfortable inside WordPress, page builders, plugins, and publishing workflows
* Confident using Google Search Console and GA4
* Able to structure content clearly for both humans and search engines (including AI tools)
* Understands how to create content that answers questions, not just fills pages
* Happy working hands-on, prioritising work, and getting things live
* Experience with schema / structured data
* Local SEO or financial services exposure
* LinkedIn or long-form content editing skills
What this role is not
* Not a social media posting role
* Not a pure copywriting role
* Not a performance ads role
We already have people covering media, video, and ads.
You'll own the organic + website layer.

* Organic traffic stabilises, then grows
* Key pages rank for self-employed and business owner searches
