Science Department Insight
The department includes specialist Biology, Chemistry and Physics teams, with multiple well-equipped laboratories. Practical work is central to the curriculum, and technicians play a crucial role in ensuring smooth, safe delivery of lessons.
The Role
* Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for practical lessons
* Ensuring safe storage/handling/disposal of chemicals (COSHH & CLEAPSS)
* Maintaining labs, including equipment checks, tidiness and stock rotation
* Supporting teachers during practical lessons
* Assisting with displays, events and STEM enrichment
